The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Father Deacon Michael Waak can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your Michael. I worked with Mike for 15 years when we worked for the Middlesex Commission. He was such a gentle soul who cared deeply for the students he counseled. He was kind, artistic and had a sense of humor like no other. I cherish the Ukrainian egg he gave to me as a gift and I’ll cherish his memory forever.

Condolence: I am so very sorry on the loss of Michael. I knew him from the library in Collingswood, as we both shared an interest in offering hope and support for those who are incarcerated. His kind heart and faithful spirit were clearly a light in the darkness for many. He readily supplied me with the benefit of his experience with which I could help others. He will be very much missed by myself and countless others. Our lives are very much better having encountered him.

Condolence: I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you for your loss. Please take comfort in knowing that our heavenly Father feels the pain that you are going through.  He gives us comfort and hope. He comforts us by being closed to the brokenhearted. He gives us hope by means of assuring us that he is going to restore life to many who have fallen asleep in death.

Condolence: My deepest condolences go out to the Waak family. Michael and I spent several years together working in the Special Education department at Cherry Hill High School East. He was a spiritual person who typified the essence of the word “gentleman” in every way possible. I shall always remember the meaningful and fraternal conversations we shared each day at school. May all of you live with good memories of a very special man. RIP, Friend.....

Condolence: To: Waak family
I was saddened deeply to learn of Deacon Michael's sudden passing.
He was a true professional in all his endeavors. We were friends and
over the years had spent time together whenever he would come home
to visit family and friends. Together we would set up for the annual church event.
Michael was my good friend as long as I can remember. At the church annual event
Michael always had a smile on his face and kindness he showed to every one he met.
May you find comfort in your memories and knowing that he now walks with the lord.
I'm sorry health concerns prevent me from attending his funeral services.
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless, Sincerely Ralph Nicholas
